The North Carolina Women’s Council, “Professional Women in Building”, was chartered in 1988 and is an active group of professional women affiliated with the North Carolina Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.  The Onslow County Home Builders Chapter of the Professional Women in Building received its Charter at the NAHB Spring Board of Directors meeting in Washington, DC, on June 8, 2007.

This organization serves as an important resource for professional women. It also seeks to promote the image of the building industry among women while offering each other support in juggling work and family responsibilities and gaining respect from colleagues and trade contractors in the field.

Our activities include education, both for our members and for the community, through scholarships, elementary school programs, and seminars; legislative and political advocacy by raising funds for Build-PAC, lobbying and supporting our legislatures who are supportive of our industry; and community outreach programs such as Habitat for Humanity.

Our members work as Builders, Subcontractors, Business Owners & Managers, Mortgage Bankers, Marketing Experts and Sales Representatives.

Annual dues are $75.00 and are set on an annual basis so that members receive a full year’s membership value.  Eligible members are local HBA members, their employees, or family members.  When you join, you receive a vast number of benefits and services.
